You wouldn't know it by making a drive by, but the dust is flying on the
ground floor of the theatre!
I have been out of town for a couple weeks and while reading through the stack
of papers I came upon the weekend edition of the World which showed Jason
Denton, the LTOB President, surrounded by plaster dust and open studs. The
work on the Americans with Disabilities Bathroom is in full swing.
We had a challenge for the Opry audience to donate for the cause, and a
concert the weekend after Opry closed to help in the funding and thanks to the
generosity of our loyal patrons, work has begun. We still have a lot of funds
to gather to finish the job, but we hope to have it complete by Christmas
Opry.
Christmas Opry, Directed by Shirley Kintner will take the stage December 5, 6
and 7, and the band will begin rehearsing soon. The Dancers have held their
auditions and are busy learning their dances. Lots of performers from Summer
Opry are learning new songs for the one weekend show.
And now, thanks to the remodel there will be a ramp for people with
disabilities to get up on that stage and perform their songs. Ladies and
Gentlemen, this is a great day.
If you didn't donate to this worthy cause and you would still like to, just
send a donation to Little Theatre on the Bay, Box 404, North Bend, Oregon
97459, and put ADA Remodel on the subject line.

Several
of the young performers from recent shows including Anything Goes, Damn Yankees, and
Little Ole Opry donated their time to two
fundraising concerts in support of our ADA Bathroom Project. Joining
them was Suzanne Randle, current Bay Area winner of the 2008 Colgate Country
Showdown. At our May Fundraiser, the Young Bucs added their unique,
special stylings.

this link, you may view several photographs from these LTOB Special Events.
These two evenings raised about $4,000.
