Little Theatre on the Bay will bring in the
2009 Holiday season with the 17th annual “Country Christmas”, December 4, 5 and
6. Director Shirley Kintner returns for this, her third season of Country
Christmas and has lined up some
great music with the help of Opry Veterans and Newcomers alike. This
year's theme is "Home for the Holidays".
Because of the great demand
for Country Christmas, last year LTOB needed to add a fourth show, a
Saturday matinee. For 2009 there are evening performances Friday
December 4 and Saturday December 5 with Matinees Saturday December 5 and
Sunday December 6. Tickets are now available and are already selling
at a brisk pace, so, to avoid disappointment, purchase your tickets early.
The Comedy team will open each
performance with an audience warm-up beginning 15 minutes prior to each show
or 7:45 PM for evening performances and 1:45 PM for Matinees. This
Christmas, Les Engle will appear as your Master of Ceremonies and will
introduce the first act, Hannah Kintner, Kelly Coolen, Alyssa Birrer and
Abigail Collings singing "Christmas on My Radio" promptly at 8 PM (2 PM)!
Without giving away details, the set will be a living room with details that
will allow the cast greater freedom to move about the stage.
First time performers include Sarah Birrer and Karissa Fults. Sure to
excite old time Opry fans: Leah and Mary - The Houghton Sisters -
return. Kayla Fletcher is the choreographer of the Little Ole Opry
Dancers who have been rehearsing since August. The Dance Team
includes: Anna Brecheisen, Caitlin Snuggerud, Alyssa Birrer, Sara Birrer,
